(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Bringing the sultanate's heartfelt festivities to those unable to partake in person, Bank Sohar organised under its Sohar al Atta CSR initiatives a visit to children under the care of The Royal Hospital to present them with gifts in a spirited commemoration of Oman's 48th National Day.
Mahira Saleh al Raisi, AGM and head of Human Resources at Bank Sohar, was joined by a gathering of Bank Sohar staff in the bank's surprise visit to children currently admitted at The Royal Hospital.
The team helped decorate the children's wing with vibrant National Day outlook, involved children in National Say songs and presented them with gifts before cutting a cake to mark the occasion.
Khalil al Hedaifi, chief retail banking Officer at Bank Sohar, said, 'Bank Sohar's community engagement initiatives take many forms with a strong focus on delivering a meaningful impact that empowers valued segments of society. Visiting children in the spirit of National Day was a blessing in itself, as was sharing the nation's joy with those who will go forth and serve as the future of Oman under the values established by the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said. Whilst it is unfortunate that those in care are unable to celebrate the occasion with their communities, Bank Sohar's community focused principles ensured that we as Omanis retained our tradition of unity in sharing this momentous occasion with local youth.'
The bank's commitment to local communities delivers an extensive range of initiatives to empower youth and boost their well-being and ultimately contributions to the nation. Apart from hospital visits such as on the National Day occasion and Eid holidays, Bank Sohar extends its support much further to many differently abled communities including Oman Cancer Association's 'Dar al Hannan' programme that cares for youth undergoing cancer rehabilitative treatments and the Early Intervention Centre for Children with Disabilities among others.
