Beirut, Rabi'I 16, 1440, November 24, 2018, SPA -- The Working Group for Syria's Palestinians announced that the Assad regime and its security forces continue to prevent Palestinian refugees from returning to their homes.
The group said in a statement today that the regime forces prevent the people who enter the camp Yarmouk to inspect their homes to stay and live in it. The army and its security services continue to impose strict security conditions on residents wishing to enter their homes, such as the condition of obtaining prior security approval, which entitles the holder to enter for specific hours.
The group explained that hundreds, mostly women, queue daily in front of a security detachment belonging to the Assad regime, to obtain an entry permit to inspect their homes, and are granted temporary permission, following strict security measures against them, including an investigation and detention of identification papers that they recover when they leave, and prevent people from staying in their homes that are still habitable.
