(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced a temporary closure of the Olympic Intersection (Sports Intersection), on the main lanes of the four sides of the intersection, for a period of 7 hours on November 22.
Ashghal said the closure will start on 22 evening, and will last until 23 morning in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic.
During this period, traffic heading to the Olympic Intersection from four sides can turn right only and may use the next intersection, as shown in the attached map.
This temporary closure aims to allow connecting the cables of the radar cameras at the intersection, as part of the development works implemented on intersections and roundabouts in various areas of the Greater Doha, which aim to enhance the flow of traffic and reduce congestion in vital areas.
The Public Works Authority will install road signs advising motorists of the closure. Ashghal also requested road users to abide by the speed limit, and to follow road signs to ensure their safety.
