DOHA: The Advisory Council and the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) signed yesterday an agreement on the State of Qatar's organisation of the 140th IPU Ordinary General Assembly and the 204th Session of the IPU Governing Council from April 6 to 10, 2019.
The agreement was signed for the Advisory Council by Speaker of the Council H E Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud, and for the IPU by IPU Secretary-General Martin Chungong. The signing follows the IPU's decision at its session in Geneva last October to hold its next meetings in Doha.
