(MENAFN) On Monday, Iraqi President Barham Salih held discussions in Riyadh with Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Abdullatif al-Zayani.
The discussions undertook mutual collaboration, regional improvements and issues of mutual worry, the GCC stated in a statement issued after the meeting.
During the debates, the Iraqi president emphasized he was looking forward to seeing further development in Iraqi-Gulf ties, the statement said.
A six-nation bloc of oil-rich Arab Gulf countries, the GCC is consisting of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Oman, Bahrain and Qatar.
