Kuwait- Deputy FM: relations with Syria frozen not severed


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Nov 18 (KUNA) -- Deputy Foreign Minister of Kuwait Khaled Al-Jarallah on Sunday said Kuwait's relations with Damascus are frozen not severed.
He made the remarks on fringes of a reception held at the Palestinian embassy on the occasion of the 30th Declaration of independence.
Kuwait has not made specific requests relating to re-opening its embassy in Damascus, but some Arab countries have started re-opening their embassies in Syria, said Al-Jarallah.
He added the Syrian embassy is still open in Kuwait, while the Kuwaiti embassy in Damascus is not, but there are daily flights between Kuwait and Damascus. (end) ak.aq
