(MENAFN- Afghanistan Times) AT News Report-KABUL: At least one hundred and ten militants belonging to Taliban extremist group were killed and37woundedinnationwide military crackdownsover past day, according to authorities.
In a press release issued here, Ministry of Defense, (MoD) said that Afghan NationalArmy (ANA) in collaboration with Afghan NationalPolice (ANP) and National Directorate of Security (NDS) personal has conducted joint operations against insurgents in different areasof Nangarhar, Kunar, Laghman, Paktia, Paktika, Ghazni, Logar, Maidan Wardak, Kandahar, Zabul, Farah, Ghor, Takhar, Baghlan, Balkh, Kunduz, Badakhshan and Helmand provinces.
Statement said that in these operations110insurgents including 39 Daesh affiliateswere killed and 37others wounded.
Afghan National and Defense Security forces shelled and bombed the enemies' positions and sanctuaries by artilleries and air forces.
During these operations in the past 24 hours, 39 ISIS affiliates were killed and some rounds of weapon and ammunition seized in Pachiragam district of Nangarhar, 34 insurgents were killed and five others were wounded in Qarabagh and Malistan districts of Ghazni, eight insurgents were killed, 10 others wounded and rounds of weapon and ammunition seized in Burka district of Baghlan, seven insurgents were killed and 15 others were wounded in Mizan district of Zabul and Maiwand district of Kandahar,five insurgents were killed and four others were wounded in Chaharsada district of Ghor,five insurgents were killed in Nerkh district of Maidan Wardak province.
Similar, three insurgents were killed and three others were wounded in Eshkamesh district of Takhar, three insurgents were killed, two hideouts and two motorcycles were destroyed in Nahre-Saraj and Nad-e Ali districts of Helmand, two insurgents were killed and a motorcycle was destroyed in Zurmat district of Paktia, two insurgents were killed in Sawkai district of Kunar, two insurgents were killed in Emam Saheb district of Kunduz, nine insurgents were killed, nine bags of explosives and rounds of weapon and ammunition destroyed seized in Charkh district of Logar province.
In past 24 hours, 12 planed clearing operations, and 102 Special Forces operations conducted in different provinces; also, Air forces conducted 96 aerial operations supporting Afghan National army including 11 strikes on enemy's sanctuaries.
ANAdiscovered and confiscated weapons and ammunition in the operations as well.
ANA as the nation's defense forces are ready to give sacrifice to bring lasting peace and security to the people and are determined to eradicate terror groups in Afghanistan.
