Qatar- Entrepreneur offers students tips on startups

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) American entrepreneur Dr Stafford Sheehan visited Texas A & M at Qatar recently and spoke to students about his experiences starting his own company - twice. During his talk, ‘Translating Technologies from the Lab to Startup', Dr Sheehan discussed the two companies he started, one of which was acquired by another firm.
He is currently running the other one, Catalytic Innovations. He talked about how to take a product from the lab to a commercial environment and shared with students what he had learned about building a scalable business during the past four years, as well as lessons he learned from others who had been even more successful than he has. Just 29 years old, Sheehan was named one of Forbes' 30 Under 30 in Energy in 2016. His talk was sponsored by the Qatar chapter of the American Chemical Society and US embassy in Qatar.
