Former Australian legend Dean Jones said that if India fail to beat Australia in the upcoming four-match Test series next month, then he would be surprised.

Jones feels that India have a real chance to clinch their maiden Test series victory on Australian soil.

The two nations will start proceedings on December 6 in Adelaide.

"India have a good chance, they've never won a Test series over here, and if they don't I would be surprised," said Jones to Cricket Country. He feels that this is India's best chance as Australia look depleted without Smith and Warner.

The commentator backed the bowler to have a ripper of a series.

He said, "I'm expecting Ashwin to have a ripper of a series. He had a good series last time India were here, and had he played in that first Test in Adelaide, India might have won the series."
