Motorola One Power starts receiving Android Pie update in India

Lenovo-owned Motorola has started releasing Android Pie update for its latest mid-range One Power smartphone.

The latest Android update will be available to the One Power users in a phased manner via over-the-air (OTA) method.

Notably, this update brings all the new features of Android Pie including gesture-based navigation, new UI, and adaptive battery among others.

Motorola One Power runs stock Android as part of Android One program. Hence, this update brings all the features that come with the latest Android Pie OS.

So, with this update, Motorola One Power will get gesture-based navigation, adaptive battery, adaptive brightness, an improved Do Not Disturb mode, simplified volume controls, and revamped notifications panel, among other features.

To recall, the Motorola One Power sports an iPhone X-like wide notch but with prominent bezels and a chunkier chin.

On the back, the phone gets a vertically-stacked dual-rear camera setup with a near-center positioned fingerprint sensor, both packed in an aluminum chassis.

The Motorola One Power features a 6.2-inch full-HD+ LCD Max Vision display with an aspect ratio of 19:9.

The Motorola One Power runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, paired with an Adreno 509 GPU, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage (expandable up to 256GB).

In terms of optics, the phone gets a 16MP+5MP dual rear-camera setup and a 12MP selfie snapper.

Further, the phone runs stock Android Oreo 8.1 and packs a 5,000mAh battery which supports fast charging.
