Indian badminton will witness better results in future: Kidambi Srikanth

Indian men's badminton ace Kidambi Srikanth suffered his third straight quarter-finals loss.
Srikanth was seeded fourth in the Hong Kong Open, but his campaign ended on a sour note.
The former world number one, however, believes that Indian badminton has a bright future.
Srikanth has endured poor form since his loss to Lee Chong Wei in the 2018 Commonwealth Games final.

Injury woes
Srikanth's injury couldn't allow him to go low during the match against Nishimoto as he lost 17-21, 13-21 to the Japanese eighth seed.
With the Syed Modi International in India starting next week, Srikanth has work to do.
"I'm not really 100% fit and I'm having small injury worries. I just want to talk to my physio and coaches first," said Srikanth to AFP.

Srikanth has been an inspiration for many but his injury woes have been hampering his progress.
Besides him, rising star PV Sindhu has helped badminton expand in India.
Sindhu too has failed to win major tournaments in 2018 despite coming close on many occasions.
However, Srikanth feels that Indian players will deliver better results in the future.
'I think we will all definitely have better results'

"I'm improving in that particular area, being consistent around the tournaments we play. I think we will all definitely have better results in the coming years," said Srikanth.
Hong Kong Open: Sindhu ousted in second round
Sindhu
Sindhu, who lost in the quarter-finals of the China Open recently, was sent out packing in the second round itself in Hong Kong.
The world number three put up a strong fight before losing against Sung Ji Hyun in straight games 24-26, 20-22.
Srikanth feels that Sindhu was not lucky.
"It was a very close one yesterday, feel luck wasn't on her side."
