(MENAFN) South Korea's trade volume has surpassed USD1 trillion for two straight years.
Data by the Korea Customs Service and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy showed that the country's total trade volume topped USD1 trillion as of Friday, after exceeding the level last year.
It marked the fastest pace since the relevant data started to be compiled in 1956 that the trade volume topped the 1 trillion-dollar level.
According to the trade ministry, if this trend continues, the trade volume was forecast to surpass the record high of 1.1 trillion dollars reached in 2014.
