(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Defending league champion Seeb Club began its 2018-19 campaign on Tuesday with an emphatic 66-57 win over former champions Nizwa to clinch the OBA Super Cup, the traditional curtain-raiser to the Oman Basketball Association (OBA) season, at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex.
With the Super Cup win, Seeb completed a domestic treble, having earlier won the league title and the Ministry's Shield. In April, Seeb captured its fifth league crown with a win over Ahli-Sidab while it defeated record 13-time league winner Nizwa in the Ministry's Shield final. On Tuesday, Fareed al Zadjali, the OBA chairman, gave away the trophy in the presence of senior club and OBA officials.
