UAE's VPS Healthcare offers tertiary, quaternary care in Sudan

DUBAI, 16th November, 2018 (WAM) -- VPS Healthcare, one of the largest integrated healthcare service providers in the Middle East, has announced its foray into Sudan by offering coverage of tertiary and quaternary care to patients of Sudan in partnership with the country's two major insurance providers.

Global patient care division of VPS Healthcare Group undertook the initiative. Senior officials of the Group led by Savnivise Gopinath, Director – VPS Healthcare, Dubai & India, signed agreements with the insurance companies in Sudan.

VPS Healthcare owns and operates over 125 medical centers, 22 hospitals, 15 brands with more than 13,000 employees spanning across the Middle East, Europe and India to provide comprehensive care and medical support services to patients from all strata of the society at international quality standards.

VPS Healthcare also signed a strategic tie-up with Hayyat Company Ltd, a leading medical tourism service provider in Sudan, to open a dedicated information center offering patients necessary guidance and support. Hayyat is Sudan's trusted source of direction and information pertaining to medical services for citizens of the nation, meeting all needs of patients in different specialties.

The initiative will ensure provision of tertiary care that are currently not available in Sudan, launch of state-of-the-art imaging and diagnostic center, and extension of quaternary care in VPS Group's various facilities when required. As part of it, Sudanese nationals will be given training programmes for capacity building and continuing medical education programs to support the benefit of Sudanese medical fraternity.
