Kuwait- DGCA affirms smooth operations at airport


(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, Nov 15: Director of Engineering and Chairman of T4 Operations at the Directorate General for Civil Aviation (DGCA) Saleh Al-Fadaghi affirmed the activation of emergency plan in all terminals including T4, reports Al- Anba daily.

Al-Fadaghi explained that the activation of the emergency plan was based on directives from the DGCA's highest authority. The flight schedules were on course without cancellation of flights or diversion to other airports. The activities at the airport are ongoing smoothly without disruption.

He declared that concerned authorities such as Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD), General Customs Administration, Ministry of Interior and the Korean Company in charge of supervision of airport activities have been in close coordination to ensure nothing was left to chance for smooth running of affairs.

Diverted
Al-Fadaghi stressed that airport employees were on duty on the public holidays declared by the government. The airline is also rescheduling the fl ights that were diverted to other airports due to heavy rains, urging everyone to help under such air circumstances.

Meanwhile, Preparations for the ninth edition of the initiative titled, 'Honoring,' have started. Under the patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the initiative will kick off on Saturday at Jaber Al- Ahmed Cultural Center. Founder of the initiative, well-known Lebanese media personality Ricardo Karam, disclosed that Kuwait will host the initiative this year while praising the support of HH the Amir. He added the initiative aims to honor the excellent and creative Arab individuals.
