Bahrain's KFCA issues bids on major causeway initiative

(MENAFN) The Bahraini King Fahd Causeway Authority (KFCA) was announced to have issued bids for the execution of the transitional phase of King Hamad Causeway project.

Bahrain's KFCA confirmed that it was seeking bids from leading transaction advisory services consultancies.

The KFCA explained the purpose behind the 25km causeway project, valued at USD4 billion, to be connecting Bahrain to Saudi Arabia.

The three-year transitional phase will see the formation of a joint framework between the public and private sectors.

The deadline for the bids was set for February 21 of next year, with the consortium expected to see a Bahraini or Saudi registered financial consultant heading it.
