Tunisian parl votes for confidence in new government


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) TUNIS, Nov 13 (KUNA) -- Tunisia's House of Peopleآ's Representatives (HPR) voted for confidence in the new government's members late Monday, proposed by Prime Minister Youssef Chahed on November 5.
Chahed had proposed the reshuffle of 13 ministers and five secretaries of state last week.
The voting was held with the participation of 163 MPs out of 217, as members of the "Nidaa Tounes" movement were absent.
After the session's conclusion, Chahed affirmed that the new government will be neutral and will exert all efforts to execute the promised economic reforms. He added that this was a step towards ending the country's political crisis. (end) ksj.ag
