Bizarre fielding helps Pakistan steal five runs off one ball

Pakistan and New Zealand were participating in the third and last match of the ODI series, when rain forced the tie to be abandoned.
But not before it provided us with an amazingly funny moment, as repeated botches by New Zealand fielders gave Pakistan five runs off a single delivery.
Here we look at the error and the match.
Pakistan had put up an impressive total while batting first

Pakistan scored 279 courtesy of Zaman (65), Babar (92), and Sohail (60) putting up strong performances. However, their hopes of posting a mammoth total, was halted as New Zealand bowler, Lockie Ferguson registered his career best figures of 5/45.
How did the incident unfold?

During the 49th over of Pakistan's innings, bizarre fielding by New Zealand gave us one of the most memorable moments.
Faheem Ashraf and Asif Ali were batting when Ashraf hit a ball towards the deep square-leg, from which a mistimed throw allowed them three runs.
Further, they took full advantage of two other over throws, which helped them steal a couple more.

The match was abandoned in the initial phase of New Zealand's innings due to rain, and thus kept Pakistan away from their long-standing dream of beating New Zealand in an ODI series since 2011.
Pakistan were defeated by the Kiwis in 2014 (2-3 in UAE), 2015 (0-2 in New Zealand), in 2016 (0-2 in New Zealand) and in January 2018 (0-5 in New Zealand).
