(MENAFN) On Monday, thousands of Palestinians staged a sit-in outside the government headquarters in the West Bank city of Ramallah to objection a contentious social security law.
The law came into force in the beginning of this month, with the Ramallah-based government opening a timetable for applying the legislation on all companies.
Demonstrators called for scrapping the legislature and for the resignation of Labor Minister Mamoun Abu Shahla.
Monday's sit-in is the third by Palestinian demonstrators against the controversial law in the last four months.
