(MENAFN) The British Museum received another appeal from Egypt for the Rosetta stone to be brought back to Egypt.
Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) director Tarek Tawfik is currently in talks with the other side for the iconic stone to return.
The statement was made by the director of the GEM while speaking to Evening Standard during an interview.
Tawfik added "it would be great to have the Rosetta Stone back in Egypt, but this is something that will still need a lot of discussion and cooperation."
