Jordan- QAIA welcomes NordWind Airlines

Amman, Nov. 11 (Petra)- The Airport International Group (AIG) has received the first flight of NordWind Airlines to as part of the ongoing efforts to expand the network of airlines operated by Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA).

The Russian low-cost carrier, which flies between Amman and Moscow's Sheremetyevo International Airport, uses weekly flights every Sunday and Wednesday.

To celebrate the launch of the new route, a ceremony was held to welcome the NordWind jet to its new destination.

With this move, the number of companies traveling to and from Queen Alia International Airport is 46, which is in line with the AIG's goal to attract more low-cost airlines as such a step plays an important role in enhancing the Kingdom's position as an attractive destination for diverse travelers.

CEO of the AIG, Kjeld Binger, said: "We are delighted that NordWind Airlines has joined the network of airlines operating at Queen Alia International Airport".

"We are working hard to cooperate with high-demand airlines to cover a wide range of destinations in the Middle East, Europe, Africa, Asia and North America, and we are helping to connect travelers from all over the world to Jordan, " he pointed out.

"We look forward to building new partnerships with airlines that meet the needs of travelers and provide them with a comfortable and affordable air travel experience," he noted.
