(MENAFN) Kenya Airways was announced to have reached an agreement to launch weekly services to Tel Aviv, effective March 2019.
Nairobi and Tel Aviv, Israel's spokesman Emmanuel Nahshon declared, finalized their talks on the matter with only the date of the launch left to be settled by KQ.
The Israeli spokesman stressed: "there is a great deal of political and tourist importance in the African market."
The spokesman added "the entry of Kenya Airways into Israel will further improve ties with Kenya and Africa in general."
Trade and travel between Israel and Kenya is to likely see a sharp growth due to the new direct flights.
