Tunisia Esperance wins African Champions League

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) TUNIS, Nov 9 (KUNA) -- Tunisia's Esperance defeated Egypt's Al-Ahly 3-0 Friday to win their third African Champions League.
The Tunisians succeeded in turning their 1-3 defeat to Al-Ahly in the first leg in Egypt to win the dramatic clash between the African rivals.
Saad Bquir scored twice for Esperance before Anice Badri added to the pains of the Egyptians to score a third late in the game.
The first half or the match, held amidst tight security measures and attended by over 50,000 fans, started goalless until Bquir coverted a cross into Al-Ahly's net.
It was Bquir's header that added another goal, and that was enough for the Tunisians to win the championship.
But Badri's third goal eliminated any hope for the Egyptians to come back. (end) ksj.bs
