In November, Uzbekistan will launch a new payment system Octo, which allows its users to accept online payments through a website or a mobile application in real time using international plastic cards and electronic money, Uzbek media reported.

The new payment system will accept online payments through international payment systems - Visa, MasterCard, UnionPay, JCB, MIR, as well as Yandex Money and Qiwi. In a month, it is planned to attach UzCard to it as well.

Octo allows to sell products via social networks as well, through links to sales pages. To set it all up, a user needs to register in the system.

As soon a the payment is made, the money is frozen in the system, until the buyer receives the purchase. After that, the money is released into the seller's account. This would ensure full consumer protection.

Octo is currently working in Russian, English, Uzbek and Chinese.
