Turnover at the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) amounted to almost 226 million manats last week (October 22-26), as appears from the statistics published on the exchange's website.
The largest volume fell on the placement of bonds of the Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan and notes of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan. Their total value was 211.77 million manats.
In the secondary market of the BSE, transactions were concluded on the notes of the Central Bank, US dollar bonds of the Azerbaijani state company SOCAR and Azerbaijani manat bonds of the Azerbaijan State Mortgage and Credit Guarantee Fund totaling 11.7 million manats. The vast majority of transactions were concluded on SOCAR bonds – $5.1 million or 8.7 million manats.
The transactions on shares in the BSE secondary market amounted to 1,046 manats; 553 transactions were concluded on them.
During the week, repo operations on the bonds of the Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan, worth 2.5 million manats, were also carried out.
