UAE- Now, enjoy free WiFi at Sharjah bus station

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Passengers at Sharjah's Al Jubail bus station can now enjoy free WiFi, it was announced on Sunday. The free service is already available on 50 intercity buses, according to a senior official.

Mohammed Abdullah Al Buraimi, director of technical services and acting director of IT department, Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority, said passengers waiting for their buses can access the service by connecting to the open WiFi network.

"Passengers don't need to create usernames or passwords or even give their e-mail and mobile phone numbers," Al Buraimi said.

Reda Abdullah, an Egyptian resident, said the service is a bonus for passengers. "I take the bus to Abu Dhabi daily. This service will let me be online while I wait for my bus."

Mohammed Saad, a Syrian passenger, said he hoped the connection would be fast. "If many people are using the service, it can get interrupted. I hope the authorities have considered this."
