(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) A month-long celebration, including a multi-media spectacle, spend-and-win bonanza, fashion and cultural shows, and gift-giving will mark the 10th anniversary of The Dubai Mall next month.
From November 4 to 28, a sound and light show entitled 'Talisman' will play nightly inside the mall while shoppers stand a chance to win three luxury apartments from Emaar Properties, that will be announced on the three Fridays during the celebrations. There will also be daily prizes of Dh10,000 in gift cards.
Live performances by Bollywood dancers will also launch Diwali festivities while 40 fashion brands will be holding events and activities in November.
To mark the UAE Flag Day, a 180-metre long flag will be put on display near the Grand Atrium and a photo exhibit entitled 'People on the Move' will be held until November 20.
Moreover, in the spirit of giving, The Dubai Mall will launch a 'Wishing Tower', asking visitors to make a wish via social media for a chance to have them come true. There will also be a roaming Birthday Squad that will surprise people with random acts of kindness, including paid-for meals.
Speaking to Khaleej Times on Wednesday, Patrick Bousquet-Chavanne, CEO of Emaar Malls, said: "We are very excited to celebrate our 10-year milestone. Aside from the amazing events, the mission of The Dubai Mall is basically be a part of a lively downtown where social communities come together, whether it's about arts, culture, food or fashion."
Meanwhile, Dubai Mall will also be adding at least 5,000 parking spaces next year to cater to its growing number of visitors.
