Turkish stock exchange opens with increase


(MENAFN) The Turkish stock exchange was shown to have opened on Monday with a 0.79 percent increase, or 761.18 points, beginning the session with 97,215.75 points.

Turkey's BIST banking index recorded a 1.18 percent boost, while the holding sector index saw a 0.85 percent raise.

The leasing factoring index of Turkey also registered a 2.91 percent surge, with the BIST insurance index hitting bottom with a 0.48-percent drop.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 ended Friday sessions with a rise of 1.03 percent, or 999.39 points, closing at 96,454.57 and reaching USD1.3 billion in the trading volume.
