(MENAFN) Some 400 fuel pumps in Indian capital city Monday have halted their sale presences to join in a demonstration against local Delhi government's dismissal to decrease Value Added Tax (VAT) on diesel and petrol.
The fuel pumps started to close at 6:00 a.m. local time and will stay shut until 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
The strike was suspended by the Delhi Petrol Dealers Association on Oct. 10 " days after 13 states criticized VAT after a Finance Minister Arun Jaitley's demand.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal accused Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal (BJP) for advertising the protest. €ƒ
