(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Public Authority for Mining (PAM) celebrated the Omani Women's Day in the building of Authority for Mining in Ghala.
The event was attended by Suha bin Zahran al Raqeeshi, director of Communication and Spokesperson at the GCC Statistical Centre (GCC-STAT), and a number of employees of the authority.
This celebration comes to show the role of Omani women in various sectors, especially the mining sector. The programme included a discussion session chaired by Suha on the empowerment of Omani women.
A number of topics were discussed at the dialogue session, including the empowerment of women, the role of women leaders in society and the exchange of women's experiences between the work environments.
Suha said, "This day is important for Omani women to show their best to Oman and the effective role of women in community development.' Eng Hilal bin Mohammed al Busaidi, CEO, PAM, said, 'Omani women have a key role in the development of the society.'
