Taiwan: 17 die in train derailment


(MENAFN) Over 17 people have died as 20 more were wounded after a passenger train went off tracks in Taiwan, according to Sputnik.

The incident took place at 4:50 p.m. local time, meanwhile, the reason behind the derailment haven't been announced yet.

The released pictures showed that there have been more than six carriages off tracks and overturned at the spot, where the incident occurred.

The emergency service has been dispatched to the scene, where the wounded received medical care by medical personnel.
