Namibia, Kenya urge UNSC restructure


(MENAFN) The Namibian Presidential Office confirmed an appeal to have been made by both Namibia and Kenya on the restructure of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).

The call was made by Namibian President Hage Geingob and Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta during a three-day gathering.

The two leaders expressed their desire for African countries to be granted an everlasting representation in the UNSC.

The Namibian president stated: "Namibia supports Kenya's quest for a seat at the security council and Namibia promises to vote for Kenya in their bid."
