(MENAFN) On Sunday, Palestinian group Hamas emphasized that Egyptian intelligence chief Abbas Kamel will visit the seized Gaza Strip soon.
Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem told Anadolu Agency, "The visit of Major General Kamel... will take place in the near future".
According to the spokesman, Kamel had been planned to visit the Palestinian region last weekend, but the visit was deferred.
Qassem emphasize an Egyptian delegation, which visited Gaza on Thursday, affirmed to Hamas leaders that arrangements were underway for Kamel's visit to the territory.
