(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Dr Veena Tewari, assistant professor and programme manager from the Faculty of Business Management at Majan University College, recently delivered a keynote address during a two-day international conference organised by Periyar University, Tamil Nadu, India.
The theme of the conference was 'The Significance of Joint Liability Groups (JLGs) as Saviors of Rural Poor Students'. In addition to this, she also presented a two-hour technical session on 'Global Perspectives of Joint Liability Groups and Entrepreneurship'. The conference was an excellent platform for deliberations on economic growth, JLG's and entrepreneurship.
High-level representatives from the State Government, NABARD, regional banks and universities were present, creating a stimulating environment to exchange ideas on research, teaching and managerial practices through formal presentations and informal interaction.
