(MENAFN) Venezuela's Communication and Information Minister Jorge Rodriguez declared that 3 people have been nabbed in links to the unsuccessful assassination attempt on President Nicolas Maduro in August.
Oswaldo Castillo alias "El Capi," Wilder Vasquez alias "Capo," and retired air force lieutenant colonel Rafael Diaz have been nabbed, according to Rodriguez.
The minister confirmed that "the mastermind behind the assassination plot is perfectly established," as the arrested were members of Venezuela's far right.
He added that the suspects have carried out violent demonstrations from 2014 to 2017 as well.
