(MENAFN) The latest escalation of Israeli violence against the Gaza Strip as it launched airstrikes was strongly denounced by the Palestinian government on Wednesday.
Government spokesman Yousef al-Mahmoud stated: "the non-stop escalation in Gaza is part of [Israel's] escalation in the West Bank and East Jerusalem."
The spokesman blamed the Israeli government for the danger Palestinians are facing along with their possessions.
Al-Mahmoud added "Israel is continuing to violate international law and regulations and is committing crimes against the Palestinian people."
