(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ABU DHABI, Oct 16 (KUNA) -- The sixth edition of the International Franchise Exhibition (IFE) kicked off in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday with participation of Kuwait Business Council as a sponsoring partner.
Kuwait's participation in this event comes as part of its continuous efforts to enhance the presence of the Kuwaiti business community in the UAE and open up promising prospects for commercial growth, the council said in a press statement.
"It will give small and medium enterprises from Kuwait the opportunity to expand and cooperate with foreign companies to identify the best practices and experiences in the field (Franchise) world", the statement added.
In light of the cooperation agreement concluded between the Kuwaiti Business Council and the Arabic version of the Harvard Business Review, the Board delegation will take part in a panel discussion on Wednesday under the title "Lab Management: How Business Leaders Run Their Time".
The seminar will discuss the results of a scientific study conducted on about 27 global executive heads whose diaries were carefully monitored over a period of more than 60 thousand hours. The Kuwaiti Council has also concluded a cooperation agreement with the International Economist magazine, which will be a supporter of the International Summit to Combat Illicit Trade, which will be held on 30 October in Abu Dhabi as representatives of the public sector, private sector and civil society, the statement noted.
The summit will address effective solutions to the legislative and technological challenges facing the business sector, including forgery, intellectual property rights and the protection of trademarks from tradition, information security and others.
Kuwait Business Council in Dubai and the Northern Emirates was established in 2016 under the umbrella of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry as a non-profit organization, the first of its kind for business communities outside the State of Kuwait.
The Council welcomes all Kuwaiti companies, businesspersons and employees in the UAE or those wishing to expand in order to enhance the expertise, opportunities and relations of its members.
The IFE exhibition, organized by Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, includes feature participants from local and international companies specialized in a variety of fields.
It is targeting more than 5,000 foreign companies and those interested in entrepreneurship.
The two-day exhibition, held at Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company's (ADNEC) headquarters, aims at giving the opportunity for local and international companies to expose their brand to the booming UAE economy and expand their business in the Middle East.(end) bsb.nhq
