Oman- Ministry of Civil Service launches second National Project for Accelerating Government Performance


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The Ministry of Civil Service (MoCS) last week launched the second edition of the National Project for Accelerating Government Performance and honoured the first batch of the leaders of the programme.

The event was held at Kempinski Hotel Muscat under the patronage of H E Sheikh Khalid bin Omar bin Said al Marhoon, Minister of Civil Service. MoCS in cooperation with a number of government agencies and private sector institutions who organised the programme. The project targets the employees of the administrative body of Oman. The programme saw the participation of 52 employees from government and private sector institutes.

Speaking to Muscat Daily, H E Sheikh Marhoon said, 'We have launched this project to accelerate government services and we will continue to implement such initiatives.

This project is considered one of the best programmes in the world. All developed countries seek to implement such programmes.'

The national project aims to raise the level of competitiveness of the sultanate by accelerating government performance, facilitating government services and developing them by building necessary competencies.

It also aims to encourage government employees to adopt innovative solutions to accelerate services to beneficiaries, and build national competencies and equipping them with the necessary skills to implement current and future government projects.
