KUWAIT CITY, Oct 15: Qatari artiste Abdulaziz Jassem has passed away at age of 61, following years of diabetes and other health complications. He spent his last days in a hospital in Bangkok, Thailand, reports Al-Rai daily.

For 41 years, he had been involved in several artistic activities such as production, composition, theatrical work, broadcasting, and television programs. He was part of the national operetta titled 'Kolna Al-Kuwait' (We Are All Kuwait) in the memory of his Kuwaiti brothers who died during the Iraqi invasion. Many artistes offered their condolences including the Saudi actor Nasser Al-Qasabi.

The late Abdulaziz Jassem stepped into the entertainment industry in 1977 as an actor on Al-Saad Theater along with artiste Ghanim Al-Suliati. He left behind a huge legend in the field of drama and broadcasting.
