Apple's iOS 12.0.1 update fixes old issues, brings new problems

Apple recently released iOS 12.0.1 as an incremental update to fix some bizarre bugs related to Wi-Fi and charging.

While iOS 12.0.1 was meant to fix old bugs, it has inadvertently introduced several new bugs and potentially serious ones.
Several users have reported broken call issue and are unable to make or receive calls.
Similarly, some others have complained about battery draining issues.
Further, multiple users have highlighted problems with 4G/LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and FaceTime calls.

According to a user contacted by Apple Support, the iMessage "problem" is actually an iOS 12 "feature" wherein Apple is merging chat threads if users share the same Apple ID.
