Oman- OAG invites investments at old Muscat airport site

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The prime commercial space of the old Muscat airport is up for grabs with Oman Aviation Group (OAG) soliciting major investment opportunities. Formed earlier this year, Oman Aviation Group (OAG) is a government holding tasked with enabling the country's aviation, tourism and logistics sectors.

OAG wants to attract innovative business operations at the old airport site. In a statement, it said, 'OAG presents the availability of prime commercial space as part of the revitalisation and commercial maximisation project of the former Muscat International Airport. We invite visionary entrepreneurs who value the amazing benefits associated with this excellent location to contact us at to obtain further information.'

OAG further laid down the scope of investment options available in the site under various categories including aviation training centre, anchor (flagship) iconic brand retailer, three- to four-star hotel, fixed wings and rotatory fixed-base operator (FBO), F & B and retail, flower and perishable centre, smart furnished offices, public transport, courier and postal services, and emergency and general hospital.

It added that the business scope should be related to the commercial activities listed, but it welcomes any other innovative business concepts as well.

A fixed-base operator (FBO) is an organisation granted the right by an airport to provide services such as fueling, hangaring, tie-down and parking, aircraft rental, aircraft maintenance, flight instruction and similar services.

Responses are required to be sent by November 8.
