Iran to preserve military advisory presence in Syria

(MENAFN) Iran is affirmed to maintain its role as military advisory in Syria until the Syrian government stops asking for it, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) confirmed.

Damascus has been receiving help from Iran under global rules ever since Syria was first hit with calamity, IRGC spokesman Ramezan Sharif stressed.

The IRGC spokesman unveiled that the Iranian military advisory role has been demanded by the Syrian government.

Sharif added that Iran has been investing greatly in exchanging its "useful" experience with the Syrian army and citizens in order to lend a hand in protecting the country.
