(MENAFN) On Sunday, security sources affirmed not less than 162 illegal migrants were held in Turkey.
Security forces detained 45 Afghan nationals for transporting without legal papers, in Turkey's eastern Van province.
In the Seydikemer region in the southern Mugla province, security forces detained a total of 35 migrants, containing Afghan and Pakistani nationals.
Approximately, 33 Pakistani nationals were held in the Mentese region.
In Edirne, a northwestern province, gendarmerie units detained 17 Iraqi migrants after stopping a suspicious vehicle in the Meric area. The driver was detained on human smuggling charges.
