Saudi Arabia breaches Turkish sovereignty in dissident murder: commentator

(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia was accused of abusing Turkish sovereignty through the reported murder of a Saudi rebel who disappeared after heading to the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul.

The statement was made on Sunday by journalist and political commentator Richard Silverstein during an interview with Press TV.

The commentator stressed that the reported incident is an indication of a Saudi Arabian breach of Turkish sovereignty.

Silverstein added that the claimed incident "is going to ratchet up a huge amount of animosity" between Ankara and Riyadh.

Saudi reporter Jamal Khashoggi who frequently criticized Saudi rulers was murdered inside the Saudi Arabia consulate before his corpse moved outside, two Turkish sources claimed.
