Cameroon: road accident injures 17 amid International Cycling contest


(MENAFN) Honore Yossi, president of Cameroon Cycling Federation declared that 17 people, with 15 cyclists, one driver and one race commissioner among them, have been wounded after a coaster bus carrying worldwide cyclists.

Yossi added that the crash took place an area known as "Memiam" on the Mbalmayo-Zoetele highway.

Yossi confirmed: "The 17 victims were immediately transported by ambulances of the caravan to Mbalmayo District Hospital where they were placed under the care of doctors and nurses. No one died. The victims sustained minor injuries."

He assured that the crash will not affect the contest. €ƒ
