(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Sept 26 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah met on Wednesday the United Nations special envoy to Syria Staffan de Mistura on the fringes of the General Assembly.
The two discussed the latest developments on regional and international efforts made to resolve the Syrian crisis, during the talks held in New York.
The UN envoy expressed gratitude and appreciation for Kuwait's contributions to alleviate the suffering of the Syrian people and its unwavering commitment to regaining security and stability in Syria.
Assistant Foreign Minister for the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister's Office Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah, Assistant Foreign Minister for Gulf Cooperation Council Affairs Nasser Al-Mezayyin and Kuwait's Permanent UN Representative Mansour Al-Otaibi were also in attendance.
