(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) KARAK: Women in Takht Nusrati area of Karak staged a protest demonstration against unavailability of gas on Monday night.
According to TNN correspondent, the protesting women also pelted stones at the local police station and hujra (male guest house) of local Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Malik Zafar Azam. Three persons were slightly injured when the women protesters pelted stones on the police station and hujra.
The protesting women said there is no gas in their area due to which they face difficulties in cooking food. They demanded the government to immediately provide gas to the area, otherwise, protests will continue. The protesters dispersed peacefully after assurance by the local elders that their grievances will be conveyed to the concerned authorities.
