Ukraine, Moldova discuss cooperation in education


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) A meeting of the Moldova-Ukraine group on education has been held in Chisinau.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Pavlo Khobzei, Ukrainian Ambassador to Moldova Ivan Hnatyshyn, Minister of Education, Culture and Research of Moldova Monica Babuc and State Secretary of Moldova Igor Sharov, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation by Ukraine of the recommendations of the Venice Commission in the context of the new law on education, as well as deepening of the partnership between the two countries in order to ensure the educational needs of national minorities in Ukraine and Moldova," Minister Babuc said.

The Ukrainian deputy education minister assured that "Ukraine intends to follow the recommendations of the Venice Commission in the field of education."
