- Dubai Media Office (@DXBMediaOffice) September 20, 2018 Five were promoted to the rank of Major General, 13 to the rank of Brigadier General, 41 to the rank of Colonel, 33 to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, 40 to the rank of Major, 111 to the rank of Captain, 153 to the rank of First Lieutenant, 154 to Lieutenant, 6 had their status modified to Lieutenant and First Lieutenant.
4,241 uncommissioned officers received promotions, and 90 had their status modified.
The promotion increment was 24.8 per cent of the total salary issued this year, compared to 21.6 per cent for 2017.
