How to apply for duplicate PAN card online

Your PAN card is a vital financial document, used to avail various services like opening a bank account, buying property, applying for debit/credit card, to name a few.
However, if end up losing or damaging your PAN card, you may apply for a duplicate one, all by yourself.
Here's how you can apply for a duplicate PAN card online.
Initial steps: Logging on, selecting PAN type, entering details
Step 1
Log on to the official website of TIN-NSDL, and head to the 'Reprint of PAN card' section.
Next, click on "Apply" tab and choose the type of PAN you need a duplicate of, depending on whether you're applying for an individual firm, trust, HUF etc.
Then you need to fill up details like PAN number, name, address, email ID, phone number etc.
About uploading documents, making payment, dispatch of duplicate PAN
Step 2
Post that, you'll have to upload ID proof, date of birth proof, photographs, and a proof of the existing card that you want to reprint.
Next, you'll have to make payment of Rs. 110, through netbanking, debit/credit cards, or demand drafts.
Once the payment is done, a 15-digit acknowledgement number will be issued to you. And, that's all.
The dispatched PAN should reach you within 2 weeks.
